Home. Where my mind settles down
I dance with springing feet
I make faces at you, you call my mischief
You come home you bring happiness
I let go, my body feels weightless
I am but a child and you are my playmate
I get excited quickly you join in my madness
There’s no pretence no hiding
We face each other’s fear, we fight them
This home that we created
Stands tall and strong
In the cold harsh weather
We have each other to hold
I promise to not change
I promise to stay the same
After many decades you know I’ll say
Haven’t we just met yesterday?
