Water rippling on the steps of your mammoth banks,
Blurred vision of where your brink kiss the sky,
Greyed out, wiping out days of mortality.
There it burns, the greed of human life,
The burden, the roar, the anger entice,
The pain chewed up in the heart,
Faceless it lays amidst the souls.
The body leaves its horrific site
To seek a land beyond the shore.

Black ashes smothered in sweat;
In the tear driven eye hope survives.
Seeing the dawn with new found eyes,
Life lives on, reality seeps,
Ten new corpses lined up behind,
Waiting to be burnt, freed from this lie.

Sitting on the edge of your giant feet,
Skips my heart just a beat.
That boat on the riverbed across from me
Sees the flame painting red in the sky.
Listen closely to hear a bell
A conch amidst all has echoed in its shell.
