“If you stumble make it part of the dance”
-Anonymous.
They ask “why do you dance?”
You say “it is the only way my spirit is free”
How do you let the world know your happiness?
Inside you..waiting to burst out, enwrap everyone around
You dance. Your body moves in the rhythm of your heart
And it is the most beautiful sight, the most beautiful feeling.
It resides in you, the beat..the music
You feel your song, the feet takes two steps forward.
Spinning on your toe the world succumbs to you
Your body sways encircling sorrows but elated
Igniting passion in the eye of the beholder.
You sweat out your anger, your anklet soars
Your deep dark secrets, your fear and loathe
You learn to hold on, you learn to let go
The tears run dry, the twinkle shows
As the dusk dawns down, the folklore sings
Humming at your feet, you’re reborn in your soul.
It’s all about how strongly you feel it…the pain and the blissful melody…
Which one do you remember? which one lasts longer?
The sweet summer breeze carrying her delightful cackle
Or the stillness in the air when she held her breath waiting for it to be taken away
What do you recall most? the little surprise bundles of joy
Or the hushed forgotten little secrets in remorse
The yearning for the faint lullaby rings a bell
Shuddered in an instance by memories flooded
A touch…it changes everything
The past, the present.. it builds a bridge
Twisted frayed edges prey on your confusion
Sanity or sanctity, which loss shall prevail?
You shall be strong, you shall be ready
To shred off the guilt, to wash out the stain
A hundred wounds you’ve stabbed everyday
Fourteen years have passed counting away
Blinding your eyes burying your pain
Was it really worth the game?
You tell me there are deeper scars
The burden i carried was never mine
All these years of defending the plight
I wish you had broken the wall..showed the light
You still wonder how strongly you feel the pain
Of the person who made you and the person slain.
